Closest gubernatorial race in US history meets today's letigious system, mixed with incompetent (and partisan) election officials, fueled by overtaxed, angry voters. Forget Gore/Bush 2000, Gregoire/Rossi will change Washington State no matter how it falls out and local politics affect you more than you know. This debacle opened my eyes to local politics and I am sure it has had the same effect on previously forgiving voters.
